Hi, This is Sameer Talpadé.
'BedspreadsHeaven.com' is the web version of our company 'Trapunto - Quilts & Relatives' that my wife Priya Talpadé & I have been running , from Mumbai ( Bombay ) India; for more than 10 years.
When we started out we realized that even though India produces a Vast & Amazing Range of Textile Styles in terms of Material, Weaves, Prints, Dyeing methods, Embroidery etc. from All Regions (States ), then it came to Bedspreads Only 2-3 States/ Regions' Typical Textiles were used.
We thought this was in-a-way restricting people in their choice of Bedspreads or other accessories & want to give people maximum alternatives to choose from.
Priya is a qualified Textile Designer & Both of us are Qualified Practicing Interior Designers...
Both these qualifications combined with our passion for Design & Quality has seen us coming out with Newer Combinations Regularly.
I feel due to our Dual Interests & General Curiosity about other streams of design we have a knack of combining / modifying & incorporating Interesting Design Motifs from Other Disciplines as our bedspread Quilting Designs or as Embroidery.
Hence in future you will see us coming out with Bedspread lines which have Marble Inlay from theTaj Mahal (Agra-India) as Embroidery.
Marble Fretwork ( grill) pattern or Ceiling design motifs from Palaces of Udaipur / Jaipur ( Rajasthan - India) as the quilting pattern, Stained glass designs as motifs for cushion covers.
Besides the ready ranges we are also known for custom work i.e.: Quilted Bedspreads made to order (any Fabric / Material, any Size & almost any Design )

Our Aim :
Global Design with an Indian Twist
In India we have as many Fabric weaving / Embroidery / Motif / Manufacturing Styles as there are States (Regions) with each Region having its Specialty in terms of its cottons or silks & its motifs in weaves or Block Prints or `Zari work'( gold thread weaving).
Even though many know this,... when it comes to Bed or Table Linen; only standard work from Rajasthan/Gujarat (Block Prints/ Hand Embroidery), Kashmir (Crewel work embroidery) is available.
We want to eventually come out with Bed Linen ranges reflecting the Styles & Sensibilities, from All regions & All styles ( from India) - per region or in combination; in a form reflecting the Contemporary Living & Thinking Across the World.
